To add, the sensor is two $.01 pieces of plated metal that get litter basically dumped on them with every cycle. So they corrode / get dirty and give tons of false pinch alerts. Sometimes the pinch alert requires a full unplug to reset. I kept finding my LR stuck upside down, leading the cats to find other places to do their messes. Turn off the Litter-Robot and unplug it from the power source. Remove the waste drawer and the bonnet. Locate the sensor calibration button, which is located on the control panel near the power button. Press and hold the sensor calibration button, and at the same time, plug the Litter-Robot back into the power source. "Full disassemble" is taking off the bonnet, taking out the globe (dumping the litter), taking out the bottom tray. Spray down and scrub inside the globe. The base gets scrubbed, particularly the pinch detector!
